SGI-New Zealand Pacific Joint Chapter members meet in Auckland

SGI-New Zealand, in the southern hemisphere, is in the midst of spring. During September, the members held general meetings in the north and south. On September 3, 300 Pacific Joint Chapter members met at the SGI-New Zealand Culture Center in Auckland. Following a new members' induction, two individuals spoke about their practice of Nichiren Buddhism. Young women presented African fables.


SGI-New Zealand Holds Intermediate-level Study Exam - Sept 5

On September 5, SGI-New Zealand held its first intermediate-level study department examination on Nichiren Buddhism. The study material included "The True Aspect of All Phenomena" from Nichiren's writings and several chapters from The World of Nichiren Daishonin's Writings--A Discussion on Humanistic Religion. Some 60 members took the examination throughout New Zealand.

New Zealand Holds Spring General Meetings - 25-26

Some 100 members in Christchurch, in the south, met on September 25. Several youth who had recently participated in an SGI Youth Training Session in Japan shared what they learned, and local members gave activity reports. On September 26, exchange meetings were held at six venues.
