SGI-New Zealand Hold Study Exams on Nichiren Buddhism - Sept 7

SGI-New Zealand members gather for world prayer

SGI-New Zealand held an entrance-level study examination on Nichiren Buddhism on September 7 at six locations throughout the country. The study material included Nichiren's writings--"The Izu Exile" and "The One Essential Phrase," and the life of Nichiren Daishonin. One examinee said he was inspired by the Buddhist concept of the "ten worlds" inherent in life and to learn that a transformation of one's way of life can impact the environment. On the same day, a world peace prayer was held at the SGI-New Zealand Culture Center in Auckland.
