SGI-New Zealand Opens New Center Near Christchurch- Aug 4
SGI-New Zealand recently opened a new center in the suburbs of Christchurch in South Island, New Zealand. Representative members participated in the opening for the SGI-New Zealand South Island Activity Center on August 4. The facility is the southernmost SGI center of the world, located at latitude 45 degrees south. SGI-Oceania Chair Richard Sasaki and SGI-New Zealand leader James Wallace were present to congratulate the local members on their long-awaited center.

SGI-New Zealand Men Hold Open Air Training Session- Aug 24-25
On August 24 and 25, SGI-New Zealand men's division members held an outdoor training session to commemorate Men's Division Day at Kauaeranga Camp in Thames, Waikato. To deepen bonds of friendship and solidarity, the men participated in sports competitions, studied Nichiren Buddhism, and shared personal experiences. They ended their outing resolved to continue to work for peace in their communities with a youthful, seeking spirit.
